CVOR Tech - CVOR Tech

The Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist assists a surgeon before, during, and after surgery under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse, adhering to accepted clinical standards of care. Responsibilities may include providing lunch relief in other service lines such as Vascular, Robotics, General, Ortho, Neuro/Spine, Urology, Podiatry, Thoracic Surgery, and Plastic Surgery.

• Assist in Open Heart cases, including CABG, MVR, AVR, Pacemaker, and laser lead extractions.
• Maintain sterile field and proper equipment during surgeries.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment.
• Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies necessary for procedures.
• Coordinate with RNs and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care.

• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute CVOR setting.
• Ability to scrub assist in Open Heart cases.
• Prefer experience in minimally invasive cardiac procedures.
