Desktop Support Tech II

Corporate IT is seeking a qualified Desktop Support Technician who will be a single point of contact for end users, receiving support and maintenance within the infrastructure environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deploy, diagnose, repair, maintain desktops/laptops, printers, mobile devices and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide OS and application support for (primarily) Microsoft products and other applications as needed for the end user job functions or devices.
  • Resolves internal user ticket submissions efficiently and in timely manner.
  • Maintain workstation inventory and logs all service/repair activity.
  • Process employee onboarding or terminations.
  • Interface with other technology teams to maintain application and network infrastructure.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong understanding of Azure AD, Active Directory, DHCP, TCP/IP and DNS and how it relates to desktop support.
  • Strong support in Microsoft Office 365 Applications
  • Ability to analyze client or server issues and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve the problem by following proper escalation steps.
  • A solid understanding of SDWAN/LAN networking
  • Strong Customer Service and Communication Skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work quickly and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Work well autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Professional experience supporting Windows 11 desktop/laptops and printers.
  • Ability to interact with team members in a respectful manner.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of 2-5 years prior work experience in a fast-paced desktop support setting.
  • A+ or other IT cert desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or comparable work experience preferred.
