Head of Finance

Based in Poole, you’ll step into a pivotal leadership role, driving financial excellence across a growing, multi-site business with a strong record of stability and employee engagement.

What will the Head of Finance role involve?

Lead and develop a finance team, covering payroll, sales ledger, purchase ledger, and credit control
Ensure the production of accurate management accounts for multiple sites and detailed reporting as required by the business
Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and successful completion of audits
Maintain compliance with all statutory and reporting requirements, including HMRC submissions
Drive continuous improvement and efficiency across the finance function and associated systems
Support a structured handover with the current Head of Finance, ensuring knowledge transfer and stability
Provide clear financial insight to the Finance Director, senior leadership, and non-finance stakeholders
Play a key role in shaping the ongoing financial strategy within a growing, commercially focused, values-driven organisation
Suitable Candidate for the Head of Finance role:

Professionally qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience and a background in leading operational finance teams
Strong people management skills and ability to coach, develop, and motivate both qualified and non-qualified staff.
Previous experience within a multi-site organisation would be ideal
