Job Description
Adelphi is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-school healthcare services for students enrolled at in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric or school nursing, a strong commitment to supporting children with severe disabilities, and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary educational team.

  • Compensation: $45-$50/hour Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current, active RN license in the State of Missouri.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA-approved)
  • Minimum of 12 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, public health, school nursing, or special education settings preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration, to students with severe disabilities.
  • Support individualized education programs (IEPs) by delivering health-related interventions and documentation.
  • Respond to urgent and emergent medical needs on campus.
  • Monitor and manage chronic health conditions (e.g., seizures, respiratory issues, tube feedings, etc.).
  • Collaborate with teachers, aides, therapists, and administrators to promote student health and safety.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school, district, and state requirements.
  • Ensure infection control, emergency preparedness, and compliance with DESE policies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuing education as requested.
