Responsibilities
  • Solving problems using standard procedures or modifications and supporting junior technicians.
  • Setting up and operating test equipment and recording test data.
  • Commissioning LV and MV switch gear.
  • Knowledgeable in protection relays and protection control systems.
  • Reading and interpreting SLDs and wiring schematics.
  • Conducting electrical equipment installation inspections as per project check sheets.
  • Performing electrical function tests as per project check sheets and procedures.
  • Completing project check sheet activities.
  • Demonstrating personal HSSE leadership, maintaining excellent HSE behaviors, and ensuring safety expectations are communicated and upheld.
  • Attending all mandatory HSE and Permit to Work training.
  • Submitting daily test records to the check sheets.
  • Ensuring all team members understand and adhere to safe working practices.
  • Testing LV & MV distribution boards and circuits.
  • Testing motor control centers, motors, stop/start circuits, and associated overloads.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of Commissioning experience.
  • Training and familiarity with System Completions database including B and C check sheets.
  • Knowledge of best practice and procedures for large-scale industrial projects.
  • Fully trained in all safety-related subjects outlined by the Company (Environment Concerns, Safe Operations, Emergency Response, JHA, PTW, MOC).
  • Fully trained in Incident & Injury Free and understanding of expectations, duties, and responsibilities.
  • Prior experience in completing Pre-Commissioning/Commissioning activities as per project procedures.
  • Understanding of Permit to Work systems, ability to sign work permits, lead Toolbox Talks, and ensure JHA is understood by technicians and trainees.
  • Knowledge of P& instrument loop diagrams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across location, region, and corporate.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Fully trained in schematic and single line diagram reading.
  • Fully trained in use of hand tools and operation of test equipment.
