Project OverviewPort Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two identical LNG trains, two LNG storage tanks, one LNG carrier berth, and associated utilities and facilities. The facility will be built on a parcel of land located at State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake.
The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes associated with our Energy GBU LNG projects. As the #1 LNG EPC contractor by installed capacity, Bechtel has the capability to deliver a broad range of LNG projects through an integrated EPC model, strategic partnerships, and proven experience.
The overall objective for this role is to bridge the gap between operations, the systems team, and focus on the development and reliability of Business Intelligence and Reporting platforms. #LI-TH1
Major Responsibilities- Reports to and receives operational direction from Site Equipment Operations Manager
- Maintains working relationships with project personnel
- Maintains contacts with Mechanic team, BEO, and functional departments such as Procurement, Systems, Finance, and Project Controls
- Monitors reports generated from system to ensure the system is working properly
- Supports Project personnel when issues are encountered
- Communicates with the equipment team to contact hardware and software providers to identify troubleshooting issues
- Identifies and manages potential integration risks; develops mitigation strategies
- Collaborates with Operations on reporting organizational-level indicators of performance and quality
- Defines ways to maximize system use, identifies opportunities to better use the system to create more efficiency, and creates new reports and queries, working with internal team or vendor
- Develops schedule priority for each issue that will be addressed
- Liaises with BEO Systems group to ensure alignment
- Provides cross‑functional coordination and integration methods to enrich data collection and quality
- Develops KPIs, system reporting, and Power BI dashboards
- Monitors existing reports and Power BI dashboards
- Conducts data quality audits
- Maintains and enhances functionality of the equipment inventory database, including program development items and testing
- Provides on‑or off‑site project support of equipment scheduling and forecasting as required
- Analyzes, interprets, and generates reports, including asset management control reports
- Provides training and technical guidance when needed
- Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience or 9–12 years in lieu of a degree
- Working knowledge of construction equipment
- Skillset in Microsoft Excel and Power BI dashboards
- Prior EPC experience
