Shipping and Logistics ManagerJob Summary
This is a full-time on-site role for a Shipping & Logistics Manager located in the Portland, Maine Metropolitan Area. The Shipping & Logistics Manager works closely with Shipping team members, to provide organizational support, efficient transportation and packaging solutions for all American Roots products, both incoming and outgoing.
A successful Shipping & Logistics Manager will be able to ensure efficient packaging and shipping solutions for all outgoing American Roots products, while also receiving incoming orders/deliveries, verifying quantities, and filing inbound packing slips with accounting.
Essential functions- Ensure all products are inspected prior to packaging
- Tag, package, label, and box products according to brand standards
- Assist with completion of production when needed
- Use a combination of Quick Books and Ship Station to produce packing slips and shipping labels
- Prioritize daily workflow and outgoing shipments with the guidance of the Fulfillment Manager
- Ensure packages shipped have been received and resolve any issues as they arise.
- Analyze and optimize shipping logistics procedures
- Ensure the safe and timely pick-up of delivery shipments
- Create and maintain a digital photo library of all screens printed and embroidered items as they are shipped
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated; with ability to work at a fast pace with high accuracy and minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate with other team members and management concerning problems and possible solutions.
- Responds and follows through with detailed instructions from management.
- Ability to manage time effectively, be motivated and organized.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software; willingness to learn MS office
