Assistant RN Manager (ANM) – Operating Room

Full‑time, day shift (Monday‑Friday) exempt role at Providence Portland Medical Center. An $8,000 hiring bonus is available for eligible external candidates.

Lead, train, and inspire within one of Oregon's top surgical programs. The RN will support Surgical Services as a Nurse Educator, onboarding leader, and manager for assigned OR service lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate unit services to support the Director/Manager.
  • Provide managerial presence for all shifts and manage clinical and non‑clinical caregivers.
  • Input into performance evaluation processes for the unit.
  • Ensure compliance with professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with policies, processes, and clinical priorities.
  • Coach, mentor, and collaborate with staff to deliver high‑quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BS or BSN). BSN acquisition is encouraged for RN employed prior to November 1, 2024 but not a condition of employment.
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of RN work experience in an acute care operating room.
  • Experience as Nurse Educator, RN Coordinator, Charge Nurse, Relief Charge Nurse, or higher level leadership role.
