HVACR Commercial Service Technician

Hunter-Davisson, Inc. is a commercial HVACR Design Build Mechanical Contractor seeking a Service Technician to join our growing team. The person we are seeking is a team player who is highly organized, detail oriented, and demonstrates outstanding customer service.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Diagnose, inspect, repair or modify HVAC equipment including refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, receivers, condensers, chillers, water cooling towers, forced air converter units, pumps, automatic and hand valves, expansion valves and capillary tubes.
  • Service and repair refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools: welder torch, vacuum pump, test equipment utilized in the trade and a motor vehicle; maintain equipment in effective and safe working condition.
  • Perform skilled electrical maintenance work in the repair and alteration of HVAC equipment or components.
  • Test and examine boiler operations.
  • Maintain related records concerning time, labor and materials; write notes on Work Orders as required.
  • Cooperate in all aspects of company safety program.
Physical requirements:
  • Stand or walk for long periods of time during a regular work day.
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects.
  • Lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
  • Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other climbing devices.
  • Carry tools and equipment; work while in stopped, kneeling, crouched and crawling positions.
  • See naturally with or without correction, to safely perform designated tasks.
