Patient Accounts Specialist

Summary

Will work with the Patient Financial Services team to accurately process and post payments received from insurance companies and patients. Job duties will include electronic and manual insurance remittance posting from EOBs, posting of patient payments received through the mail, and posting of miscellaneous payments received in the Business Office. Additionally, this position will also be cross‑trained to provide department coverage for front office Patient Financial Services staff as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Organized, motivated, and reliable.
• Able to handle a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, basic accounting, computer skills, and ability to operate a 10‑key calculator.
• Familiarity with insurance payment documents (EOBs and ERAs) is preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
