We are looking for a highly motivated, conscientious & nurturing Teaching Assistant (Level
2) to join our committed & hardworking school team. The successful applicant will work mainly within an infant class and at times with groups of children to support the class teacher and assist in meeting the personal, social and educational needs of our children.
We are able to offer a warm welcome from a happy community with a strong Christian ethos, confident and enthusiastic children who enjoy learning, active support of parents and governors, and strong links with other local church schools and the local community.
Working Hours and SalaryThis position is part time, term time only: 5 afternoons per week, plus 2 after‑school club sessions until 5.30 p.m. The role is currently temporary until July 2027, with scope for continuation and additional hours within school. Salary is quoted as full time equivalent, pro‑rata.
Essential Qualifications- Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant Certificate (or equivalent)
- NVQ level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
- First Aid Certificate
- Working with children in a primary school setting
- Working with children across the age ranges in a primary school setting
