Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, conscientious & nurturing Teaching Assistant (Level
2) to join our committed & hardworking school team. The successful applicant will work mainly within an infant class and at times with groups of children to support the class teacher and assist in meeting the personal, social and educational needs of our children.

Working Hours and Salary

This position is part time, term time only: 5 afternoons per week, plus 2 after‑school club sessions until 5.30 p.m. The role is currently temporary until July 2027, with scope for continuation and additional hours within school. Salary is quoted as full time equivalent, pro‑rata.

Essential Qualifications
  • Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant Certificate (or equivalent)
  • NVQ level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
Desirable Qualifications
  • First Aid Certificate
Essential Experience
  • Working with children in a primary school setting
Desirable Experience
  • Working with children across the age ranges in a primary school setting
