Required Degree:

BA in Finance; MBA or Ph.D. preferred. Required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience:

Evidence of associated work experience in real estate capital markets, investment, or a related field; preference given to candidates with evidence of successful teaching of Finance or Real Estate at the collegiate level or equivalent professional experience related to the content covered in the class.

Duties/Expectations:
  • Lead Class Instruction: Assume primary teaching responsibilities for FIN 416, delivering lectures and facilitating discussions on real estate capital markets, investment vehicles, valuation, and related topics.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and maintain course materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with the learning objectives of FIN 416.
  • Student Engagement: Foster an active learning environment by encouraging critical thinking and in-depth analysis of real estate investment concepts and market dynamics.
  • Mentorship: Be available to students for questions and guidance related to course content, real estate investment strategies, and professional development.
  • Career Guidance: Share experiences and advice about building a successful career in real estate capital markets, including discussing industry trends, challenges, and opportunities in the field.
  • Assessment: Evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and exams, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Collaboration: Work with the Finance department to ensure course content aligns with program goals and complements related coursework within the Marriott School of Business.
