Your ImpactThe Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) performs tasks at solar energy sites near Pueblo, Colorado, and is responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of solar power plants in accordance with preventative and corrective maintenance standards while maintaining safety and professionalism. These local-site roles require candidates to reside within 50 miles of the Pueblo, Colorado area.
Core Responsibilities- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment.
- Documentation of work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency information schedules.
- Troubleshoot electrical components with tools such as digital multimeters, megger, amp clamps, and similar equipment.
- Test and troubleshoot installed solar equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Maintain a strong safety background with experience in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
- Work effectively in solo and group environments.
- Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely per Pearce Renewables policies and insurance requirements.
Note: Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
Core Experience- 2+ years’ experience in Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar power plants is preferred.
- Preventative Maintenance experience on Solar Utility equipment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical experience with troubleshooting and installation skills.
- Experience with Inverters, Tracker Systems, or Sub-Stations Equipment (e.g., TMEIC, SMA, Sungrow, Nextracker, ATI) is preferred.
- Ability to take initiative to escalate issues at site.
- Ability to train, mentor, and develop laborers into Apprentices.
- High aptitude and a strong work ethic.

- Must live within approximately 50 miles of the Pueblo, Colorado area.
- Exposure to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
- Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
- Employment may require working on weekends and holidays, including on-call availability via telephone/text message.
- Travel requirements may be up to 25% of time, depending on company needs.
Compensation: $30.00-$42.00 hourly/DOE
Actual compensation is influenced by skill set, experience, and location. They may be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, incentives, stipends, company vehicle, per diem, or other applicable compensation.
