You will be joining a well-established MDT center, consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, special educators and other speech and language therapists. You will be responsible for the clinical team leadership, management and ongoing development and retention of qualified multidisciplinary clinical staff. You will be responsible for supervision of clinicians, ensuring proper staffing and client flow, supporting family centered care, general service operations and customer satisfaction. You will Work closely with all departments in identifying opportunities to improve services, make recommendations and implement actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of Mind Institute. You will oversee and facilitate implementation of strategic initiatives in collaboration with the Director, the Manager, the Head of the Intake and the Head of The Early Intervention Program.

● Master’s Degree in Speech and language Therapy.
● Current Therapy License.
● 3 years Management experience preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:
● Be responsible for the management, assessment and treatment of a mixed pediatric and young adults’ caseload who have a range of Speech, Language and Communication needs
● Provide ongoing therapy though groups or individual therapy
● Set targets and care plans to meet children’s and young adults needs through discussion with parents
● Provide advice/training to parents and other professionals around early intervention and prevention
● Contribute to, and provide feedback about, possible developments in the team
● Provide supervisory management of multidisciplinary team members, which may include Audiology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Assistive Technology and/or Support Staff such as Shadow Teachers and Special Educators
● Facilitate communication and team building of the multidisciplinary team, including facilitating collaborative and supportive relationship between departments
● In collaboration with the management team identify the need for and arrange to provide education and training programs for clinicians
● Develop, maintain, and implement therapy policies and procedures that conform to current standards of therapy practice and operational policies while maintaining compliance with local regulations.
● Direct the functions of the therapy department in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and standards.
● Oversee therapy department staffing, retention, and development and participates in coaching, discipline, and performance evaluations.
● Collaborate with physicians, consultants, schools, and institutions to improve the quality of services and to resolve identified problems.
● Collaborate on an interdepartmental level to integrate therapy services with the total patient care
● Monitor client’s outcomes

● Mild, moderate or severe learning difficulties
● Physical disabilities
● Language delay
● Specific difficulties in producing sounds
● Hearing impairment
● Cleft lip and palate
● Stammering
● Autism/social interaction difficulties
● Selective mutism
● Developmental language disorder.
● Communication or eating and swallowing problems following neurological impairments and degenerative conditions, including stroke, head injury, Parkinson's disease and dementia
● Voice problems
● Mental health issues
● Learning difficulties

• $62,400- $82,200 per year TAX FREE
