Mind Institute, an independent, state-of-the-art special needs center in Qatar is seeking Clinical Lead Psychologist to join its growing multidisciplinary team. Founded in 2016, Mind Institute quickly became the first and only private special needs center in Qatar to be licensed by Qatar’s Ministry of Health meeting its NHS2030 rigorous guidelines, scoring 96%. The center serves over 100 clients, both children and adults, in several areas across Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, Sensory Integration and Psychology. Job Description:
• Provide a systematic high-quality psychology service within a multidisciplinary setting working collaboratively with other clinicians and special educators to promote wellbeing, best interests and development of children and adults.
• Provide advice, information and training to staff members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Support clinical team and Special Educators regarding complex issues relevant to children and adults with SEMH.
• Lead and manage a team of clinicians ensuring the delivery of the agreed therapeutic multidisciplinary plan, including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, CBT, ABA, Learning Difficulties and Sensory Integration.
• Support and develop high quality practice across disciplines and contribute to the professional development of staff, knowledge and good, evidence- based practices.
• Work within a highly specialized clinical area, to provide specialist psychological assessments (including ADOS 2, WISC, WIAT, Connoers,WPSSI), based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with children, young people, adults and family members and others involved in their care and education.
• Formulate plans for formal psychological treatment and/or management of a child or young person’s mental health problems based upon an appropriate conceptual framework and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy.
• Be responsible for implementing a range of highly specialist psychological and multidisciplinary interventions within and across the clinical teams and special educators.
• Ensure systems are in place and working effectively for the supervision and support of all clinicians within the center.
• Act as a highly specialist resource to the wider professional community of the center, carrying out audit, policy and service development and research activities and/or programs.
• Propose and implement policy and service development changes within the area served by the team.
• Provide expertise and specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other clinicians contributing directly to a child/young person’s formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan.
• Attend, contribute to and lead multi-disciplinary and multi-agency meetings as appropriate and when required.
• Work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure that all members of the clinical team have access to a psychologically based framework for the understanding and care of children & young people, through the provision of advice and consultation and the dissemination of psychological knowledge, research and theory.
• Contribute to the development of risk assessments and risk management plans.
• Provide expert advice, modelling and mentoring to facilitate the effective and appropriate provision of psychological care and other multidisciplinary services by all members of the team.
• Support the work and practice of the Head of The Early Intervention Program.
• Ensure that staff exhibit the values set out by the center and uphold standards of behavior in accordance with the Mind Institute policies.
• Review and approve all reports issued from all departments; SLT department, OT Department, and the Psychology Department.

• Clinical Lead or Clinical Director for 2 years.  
• Master’s degree.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Leadership/managerial experience
• Valid license

• $62,400- $82,200 per year TAX FREE
