Job Title: Extraction Technician I - 1st Shift
Department: Processing
Reports to: Extraction Manager

Location: Quincy, FL
Position SummaryExtraction Technician I is responsible for support of extraction and production operations. The focus of the role is to prep, weigh, and ensure quality of input and output material. The role requires attention to detail and an understanding of extraction equipment and science.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure incoming inspections (moisture, texture, overall quality, size through sort, etc.) of incoming batches of flower and pre‑roll material are performed.
- Ensure proper bud size per brand standard, weigh out and package flower, fresh frozen, and/or trim during and after machine operation.
- Perform auxiliary duties (fill socks, retrieve material, monitor ovens, etc.) and support the extraction tech II in operations.
- Trained to perform basic machine setup, inventory documentation, and observe/record metrics of operation. Conduct and document routine equipment checks and minor adjustments during operations.
- Fill out all proper paperwork checks and PM documentation, submitting any issues with equipment to leads and Facilities and Maintenance.
- Ensure sealing machine is operating correctly, checking that the seal is to standard and machines are operating correctly.
- Ensure cleaning processes for equipment, supplies, area, and verification paperwork are fulfilled, and PPE per cGMP and Trulieve maintenance standards are performed.
- Maintain detailed records of completed tasks for documentation and traceability, collate with the facilities and maintenance team and leadership to resolve any issues and questions in the documentation.
- Monitor equipment to ensure optimal performance to SOPs and address any issues, escalating any anomalies or concerns to extraction tech II or III.
- Notify leads of any quality, machine operation, and material challenges as they occur, and resolve fixes performed.
- Attend to other job duties as assigned by management.
- Controls and instrumentation experience.
- Ensure timeliness of return from breaks.
- Work in a fast‑paced controlled environment.
- Work with chemicals, oils, and sharp objects.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- 1+ year in working with processing quality at Trulieve.
- Able to work under minimum supervision.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Able to manage changes in working schedule.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass state‑mandated background screening.
- High School Diploma.
- SAP/Emaint/state‑mandated system (Metrc, Biotrack, MJ Freeway) entry experience preferred.
- Outstanding communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Work in close proximity and with cannabis flower and particulates on a daily basis.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and move such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on safety.
- Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently to complete tasks.
- Must handle organic matter daily, wearing PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection).
