Medical Office RN/LPN/MA / Wood County Hospital Float / Full Time In accordance with the mission of Wood Health Company, and within the scope of the Ohio Board of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide clinical and administrative support in a medical office setting, under the direction of the physician and office manager/coordinator. The LPN is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process within the standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines of the organization.

Job Description
*
* Job Duties:

*** Assist physician or provider with patient assessment, examinations and treatments.
* Set-up for various procedures and assists the physician or provider in treatments such as surgical procedures, pelvic exams, and other medical modalities.
* Documents patient care observations and activities according to professional standards and procedures.
* Correctly collects and accurately labels specimens when doing venipuncture and other specimen collections.
* Gives routine injections under the direction and supervision of a provider, as appropriate with level of training and/or certification.
* Triages patient phones calls, in accordance with office policy.
* Introduces him/herself to the patient.
* Promptly responds to patient phone calls and concerns.
* Telephones/faxes prescriptions under the direction of a physician or provider.
* Assists in emergency situations under the direction of the physician or provider.
* Obtains specimens (i.e. throat, urine, wound, etc) using proper technique and following policy and protocol for labeling.

* Minimum Requirements:

*** Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with certification or registry.
* Current LPN license
* Current CPR certification.

** Full Time / 40 hours per week
