Job Description & How to Apply Below
Make a difference each day by supporting learners with diverse needs in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This contract opportunity provides the chance to work with students in specially designed secondary and elementary programs. You'll find supportive staff and a manageable class size, ensuring your expertise is valued.

Openings are available for Life Skills, Secondary Autism Support, and Elementary Autism Support classrooms. The high school Life Skills program involves primarily 9th-11th graders with cognitive needs. Some students attend full-time, while others transition in and out for specific classes. Behaviors are generally low, with comprehensive support provided by a paraprofessional and 1:1 staff members. Instruction is structured, with five daily blocks (four academic periods and one prep), ending each day by mid-afternoon.

The new Secondary Autism Support classroom-designed for higher functioning learners on the spectrum-includes a blend of middle and high school students. Learners benefit from small-group instruction, consistent academic routines, and support from two paraprofessionals plus 1:1 assistants as needed.

For those passionate about working with younger students, the Elementary Autism Support setting serves grades 2-3. Most students are verbal or use AAC devices, with a strong support system of Personal Care Assistants at a 1:2 ratio. This role features a consistent daily schedule with ample prep and a lunch break.
