Responsibilities
- Be recognised as the go‑to expert for advanced geospatial analysis and operational insight, helping teams make data‑driven decisions.
- Lead complex analysis that drives strategic change and influences both internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver geospatial data models and reports that provide accurate, trusted insight and measurable improvements.
- Take ownership of key reporting, ensuring quality, relevance, and clear commentary that supports operational and business objectives.
- Analyse the performance and behaviour of wastewater network assets, identifying trends and risks and sharing findings through clear visualisations and insight.
- Use your data expertise and operational understanding to design interventions that improve asset performance and reduce risk.
- Define and improve processes, monitor data quality, and maintain automated data pipelines used by teams across the business for key performance and investment decisions.
- Several years of relevant business or technical experience in a GIS Analyst role.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field is desirable.
- Expert knowledge of Databricks, ESRI ArcGIS and FME is essential.
- Proficiency in data visualisation and analysis using tools such as Power BI and Excel, or similar.
- Knowledge of additional analytical tools such as Info Asset, SQL, Python, PySpark and Azure would be advantageous for this role.
- Ability to support the development and technical progression of others within the team.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to understand the wider context of analytical tasks.
- Competitive salary between £52,480 & £58,000 per annum.
- 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays).
