This team member will provide oversight for Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Revenue Audit, Banking and Accounts Receivable. Will assist the Project Manager in month end accounting functions, general ledger entries, reconciliations and annual audit preparation.

• Reviews of all Accounts Payable transactions for accuracy according to established SOP processes
• Provides guidance or assistance as needed to the Project Manager, vendors and organizational staff related to payables
• Imports daily revenue reports for entities. Ensures accuracy for revenue and expense recognition and investigate any discrepancies in daily entries. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal regulatory requirements
• Works with the Project Manager in the month-end process by preparing assigned reconciliations and journal entries
• Defines and/or updates Finance Department SOPs as needed
• Investigates general ledger discrepancies or other problems as requested by entity managers and other team members. Prepares necessary corrections and adjusting entries
• Ensures workflow effectiveness and follow through for assignments
• Responsible for overseeing the issuance of annual 1099 forms and submission of data file to the IRS
• Completes assigned reconciliations and preparation of audit work papers for annual financial audit
• Manages confidential information in a secure, discreet and professional manner
• Performs all duties in a manner that continually supports the vision, mission, values, and principles of the Redding Rancheria Economic Development Corporation
• Performs all duties in a manner that adheres to the guest service standards established by RREDCO’s management
• Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business is preferred

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• A minimum of five (5) years of accounting or related progressive experience is required
• A strong understanding of the principles and practices of employee supervision, along with a strong combination of written and verbal communication skills to write, read, and comprehend written correspondence, concurrent with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members of the organization is required
• The ability to perform job functions in an atmosphere where priorities and deadlines may change frequently is required
• Strong computer skills, concurrent with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and online accounting systems are preferred
