YourResponsibilities
- PhD in optics, physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in optical design and simulation, optical fabrication, display technologies, or computational imaging.
- Hands‑on experience with AR display systems and a solid understanding of their optical requirements.
- Proven ability to identify key research challenges and develop solutions independently.
- PhD in optics, photonics, physics, materials science, electrical engineering, or similar fields.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in optical design, simulation, optical fabrication, or display technologies.
- Familiarity with holographic optical elements, volume Bragg gratings, or photopolymer materials.
- Hands‑on experience designing and conducting optical experiments in a laboratory setting.
- Experience in developing near‑eye display prototypes for AR or VR applications.
- Strong grasp of diffractive optics and holography principles.
- Expertise in computational simulations related to light, including ray tracing, Fourier optics, and electromagnetic simulations.
- Proficient in constructing complex experimental setups utilizing lasers and interferometry.
- Experience with various spatial light modulators and display panel technologies.
- A track record of innovative research, including publications and prototypes that demonstrate technical impact.
- Familiarity with AI tools for scientific research, including computation, design, simulation, and data analysis.
- Background in advanced nano‑photonics technologies, both in design and fabrication.
$154,000/year to $217,000/year plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
