What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Construction Site Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing all daily on-site electrical construction activities. This role leads electrical site crews to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. The Site Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for the Project Manager, subcontractors, and the client, and is accountable for timely and accurate crew timesheet submission.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
Oversee and coordinate all on-site electrical construction activities to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality standards
Lead, supervise, and support electrical site crews, fostering productivity, accountability, and teamwork
Ensure daily completion and submission of crew timesheets
Act as the primary liaison between the company, client representatives, subcontractors, and on-site personnel
Promote a strong safety culture by leading by example and ensuring adherence to company safety policies and procedures
Document and report all incidents and injuries, including completion of required reports and communication with the Safety Manager
Collaborate with the Project Manager to meet construction timelines through effective planning and use of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment
Monitor and maintain quality of workmanship in accordance with design documents and project requirements
Mentor, train, and motivate crew members to support continuous improvement and safe work practices
Coordinate with the Project Manager and client to review, track, and resolve RFIs (Requests for Information) and COs (Change Orders)
Support internal and external audits, inspections, and compliance activities
Additional Information
This position is designated as safety-sensitive making employment contingent upon the successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, as well as criminal and general background checks.
Schedule
Schedule rotations range from 4 days on / 3 days off, 8 days on / 6 days off, 10 days on / 4 days off, 21 days on / 7 days off, etc. (project dependent)
Overtime paid at time and a half after 10 hours per day and 40 hours per week
Out-of-town work includes either all-inclusive camp accommodations or LOA and individual accommodations (project dependent)
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Construction Management or a related field, or a Journeyperson PSE/Electrician designation
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
5–7 years of experience in the construction industry
Experience in medium- to high-voltage substation construction is an asset
Working knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality management, and interpretation of engineering drawings
Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required
