Assembler II; 3rd shift - Cable Tray

Overview

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking an Assembler II (3rd shift) - Cable Tray at our Reno, NV location. The hourly rate for this position is $22.73 plus a $1 shift differential per hour. CORE

HOURS:

10:00 PM – 6:30 AM.

• Assist and set up for Welders in the Cable Tray department.
• Assemble and stack/band Cable Tray ladders.
• Handle materials and parts up to 50 pounds frequently during the shift.
• Perform simple repetitive assembly of parts and components.
• Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips and other fastening devices.
• Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
• Support Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives, including:
• Maintain 5-S throughout shop floor and office areas.
• Track and sustain visual management tools (e.g., layered audits, OEE boards).
• Participate in Kaizen improvements and events.

• Consistently lift 50 pounds.
• Able to stand on feet continuously during shift.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy.
• Must be able to handle materials up to 50 pounds.
• Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
• Handle materials related to large part construction, weighing 50 pounds multiple times per day.

• No relocation package offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work location to be considered;

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience confirming parts conform to specs using measuring tools.
• Minimum of 6 months experience with forming or bending machines.
• Minimum of 6 months experience reading drawings or blueprints.

• Able to regularly lift 35 pounds; may lift more than 50 pounds with assistance.
• Exposure to high noise levels; ear protection may be required.
• Exposure to high-traffic areas with forklift activity.
• Work environment with oils, lubricants, and solvents.
• Fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.

• Exposure to cold/heat when roll-up doors are open.
• Fast-paced work while maintaining safety priorities.
