Your Role as an HVAC Service Technician
* As an HVAC Service Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining home heating and cooling systems while ensuring customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:
* Performing routine maintenance, including cleaning coils, electrical checks, airflow measurements, refrigerant checks, and warranty work.
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
* Conducting HVAC system repairs on heat pumps, furnaces, and water source heating
* Recharging refrigerant levels, checking for leaks, and ensuring the refrigerant cycle functions properly.
Installing energy-efficiency upgrades such as smart thermostats and duct sealing.
* Educating customers on system maintenance, operation, and upgrade recommendations.
* Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Goettl's high standards.
* Keeping accurate records of all work performed.
* Maintaining a properly stocked company truck with essential tools and equipment
* Adhering to local codes, safety protocols, and testing procedures.
Requirements:
* YOU MUST COMPLETE THE APPLICATION AND SUBMIT A RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED
* 1+ years of residential HVAC experience
* 1+ years of sales experience preferred
* Proven ability to work within a team environment and be committed to educated and professional growth.
* EPA certified - Type II or Universal
* OSHA 10 Construction Safety and Health (Nevada Only)
* Proven ability to work within a team environment and be committed to educated and professional growth.
* For your safety, you must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
* Ability to pass a background check.
* Must have EPA Certification (Level II or Universal Certification) or ability to obtain within 14 days
* Ability to lift more than 50 lbs. and bend, stoop, stand and crawl for prolonged periods of time
* Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures and small spaces.
* Must have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
* Must be over 21
* Ability to provide a basic set of your own tools
* Must have flexibility to work schedule (days and hours including some nights & weekends)
