Senior Business Consultant

Convergent is seeking candidates that are capable of creating business requirements, performing data analysis and conducting financial modeling. The candidate must be capable of critical thinking and solutions focused. Pseudo code experience highly sought.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

* Experience working in finance and accounting operations

* Understanding of financial processes, either related to accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting or management reporting

* Experience working in a project based environment where deliverables are produced in a high-paced, tight-deadline environment

* Experience working with business requirements in a testing, business analyst, or data analyst role

CLIENT SERVICE EXPECTATIONS:

* Ensure high quality work product is provided on engagement

* Obtain and exhibit in-depth industry knowledge and/or technical expertise

* Establish reputation at client as a subject matter expert

* Provide technical insight, as needed, to consultants on other engagements

* Assist in the development and refinement of methodologies related to subject matter expertise

* Establish working relationship with appropriate levels (peers) within engagement

* Monitor & obtain additional resources required for engagement completion

* Balance client service workload with other activities

* Coordinate with the Convergent/Client manager on the project

* Resolve project issues w/ the Company manager on the project

* Review (as necessary) key project deliverables

* Ensure clients expectations as to deliverables & time frames are met

* Mentor consultant level staff across Company

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelors in Accounting/Finance/Accounting Information Systems

* 4+ years experience

* CPA/MBA preferred

* Moderate Microsoft Excel/Access/Visio skills

* Financial Services experience beneficial
