Job Summary

Hourly Rate: $18.25

Weekend Differential: $2.00

Schedule: Full-time 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday.

Education: High School Diploma; or equivalent.

Compensation: $18.25/hr.

• Enforce campus parking regulations such as parking in fire zones, handicap parking, visitor parking, fleet parking, and any non-parking area.
• Patrol buildings and grounds; inspect doors, windows, and locks to determine level of security.
• Escort visitors, patients, and personnel to and from parking areas.
• Inspect outgoing parcels to prevent theft of Christian Health property.
• Provide a visible deterrence to crime and prohibited activities by patrolling the buildings and grounds.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergent and non-emergent situations.
• Report all safety and fire hazards observed during routine patrols and inspections.
• Monitor The Vista using electronic security equipment (closed-circuit television, alarms, etc.).
• Write accurate, clear, and legible incident reports and document investigatory steps and results.
• Investigate incidents of unusual circumstances reported by personnel, visitors, physicians, or patients and report and document all incidents by the end of each shift.
• Notify Manager when items reported as missing are located.
• Assist motorists who become stranded on Christian Health property.
• Ensure only authorized personnel are admitted onto Christian Health premises.
• Respond to emergency calls for assistance to control disorderly conduct or combative patients.
• Assist and give courteous responses to any inquiries from patients, visitors, or personnel.
• Respond to all emergency codes.
• Work with Security & Safety Manager to report any safety concerns observed during security rounds.
• Orient new personnel to position responsibilities.
• Assist the police department and other emergency services on campus.
• Enforce speed limits and enforce speeding enforcement.
• Serve as primary responder in emergency response.
• Assist visitors and vendors with directions.
• Ensure visitors and vendors sign in and wear appropriate badge.
• Assist with fire and emergency drills.
• Respond to all Sara alert notifications.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Valid driver's license required.
• One year experience in security management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Criminal justice background with traffic control experience preferred.
• Demonstrates compliance with the CH ASPIRE Standards of Performance.
