HyPro is seeking a dynamic Plant Manager to lead our Rhinelander facility and shape the future of our manufacturing operations. This is a high‑visibility leadership role responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement across the plant. Essential Job Functions
  • Develop and execute plans to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant, including production planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and maintenance activities.
  • Manage plant budgets, monitor expenses, and prepare reports on plant performance, including productivity, quality, and safety metrics.
  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize productivity and efficiency within the plant.
  • Determine personnel requirements, material, facility, tooling, and equipment needs.
  • Lead and motivate team members by providing guidance, mentoring, coaching, and training to ensure the team’s success.
  • Review production and operating reports and direct the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to minimize costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Ensure the production lines run without interruptions, meet output targets, and exceed product standards.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (quality, engineering, maintenance) to ensure high quality, drive continuous improvement initiatives, solve operational issues, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Be responsible for making process, system, and product improvements.
  • Manage plant floor layouts and work cell designs to optimize space, workflow, production values, and safety.
  • Resolve daily issues involving material outages, machine downtime, and operator performance.
  • Influence policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Work with the Director of Manufacturing and Chief Operations Officer to manage the business division’s P&L to meet the company’s profitability and growth targets.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to maintain a safe and environmentally friendly work environment.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and automation systems to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex manufacturing issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize production output.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory/management role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving goals and objectives.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • In‑depth knowledge of manufacturing operations, equipment and manufacturing processes, including assembly methods, machining, fabrication, and automation.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, such as ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to drive process improvements and optimization.
