Special Education Teacher - Harrisville, RI

Location: Harrisville

You'll work regular school hours, 7:30 am to 2:15 pm each day, fostering growth and achievement in a supportive district recognized for its dedication to student success. Qualifications and experience:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification required
• Valid ESL (English as a Second Language) certification required
• Proven experience or genuine interest in middle school special education
• Solid understanding of push-in and pull-out instructional models
• Experience providing academic interventions and language support for multilingual learners (MLLs)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering individualized and small group instruction through push-in and pull-out sessions
• Crafting and implementing lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs
• Conducting progress monitoring and collecting relevant data for IEPs and MLL goals
• Collaborating with general education teachers, ESL staff, and families
• Supporting academic, behavioral, and language development for students on caseload
• Participating in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
