Varsity Head coaches need three (3) years of head coaching experience in Track at the high school, college, club or rec level within the last seven (7) years.
• JV and Freshman Head coaches need three (3) years of experience playing and coaching experience in Track at the high school, college, club or rec level within the last seven (7) years.
• Varsity, JV and Freshman Assistant coaches need one (1) year playing or coaching experience in Track at the high school, college, club or rec level within the last seven (7) years.
• A verifiable record of having been part of a winning tradition, including post season C.I.F. playoff competition as a coach is desirable.
• A proven verifiable record of positive staff, student and administrative support and relationships.
• A proven verifiable record of placing appropriate emphasis on good sportsmanship, academic excellence, positive attitudes and character.
• A demonstrated ability to work with parents and athletic booster clubs.
• A demonstrated ability to serve as a positive role model for student athletes and a commitment to holding all students and adults associated with the program to the same standards.
• A long term commitment to develop and sustain a positive, winning tradition.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must be certified under Title V, C.C.R. Section 5593 and 5594, prior to the beginning of the CIF season of sport. The training and certification is available to all coaches on-line at  The following certifications must be completed before assuming individual coaching duties:
• Fingerprints (Will be done upon selection of candidate)
• First Aid and CPR (CPR must be an in-person course AND both First Aid and CPR must be from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross)
• CIF Fundamentals of Coaching Certificate
• CIF Concussion in Sports Certificate
• CIF Heat Illness Prevention Certificate
• CIF Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate
• Current T.B. examination (within 60 days)
• Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Certification () (Upon Hiring) APPLICATION PROCESS Applications from qualified candidates are invited. A complete application file consists of:
