PLM & CAD Systems Administrator
Saltworks is seeking a PLM & CAD Systems Administrator to support the day‑to‑day operation of our CAD and PLM environments, with a focus on engineering data management, CAD libraries, and design control. Working closely with engineering and technical teams, this position helps maintain accurate, traceable data across CAD and PLM systems. This is a good fit for someone early in their career who enjoys working with structured technical information, improving how systems and processes work together, and building deeper expertise in engineering systems.
Key Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day administration and configuration of PLM and CAD systems
Maintain CAD libraries, standard parts, templates, and item life cycles
Assist with revision control, engineering changes, and BOM management
Contribute to system enhancements, upgrades, and testing activities
Develop and maintain high quality documentation for workflows and best practices
Troubleshoot data or workflow issues in collaboration with team members
Gather feedback from team members and suggest improvements to systems or processes
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, or a related technical role
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science, or a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Computer Science
Experience working with revision‑controlled engineering drawings and BOMs
Hands‑on experience with Solid Works and AutoCAD Plant 3D
Exposure to PDM or PLM systems (e.g., Aras PLM)
Strong attention to detail and solid problem‑solving skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Points If You Have Experience With
Reading and working with P&
ERP systems (e.g., Syspro)
Project management tools (e.g., Wrike)
Heavy industry, piping, or structural steel environments
Scripting or automation experience (SQL, VBA, C#, Python)
