Field Intern

Sunesis Construction is a heavy civil contractor, founded in 1991, that operates in both the private and public sectors, specializing in site work, utilities, bridges, earthen retention and road construction. The Field Intern role is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in construction project management. This role provides hands‑on experience in the field, working alongside skilled laborers and site supervisors to gain a deep understanding of construction processes, safety practices, and job site operations.

• Assist field crews with daily construction tasks, including general labor and potentially light operating.
• Learn and apply basic construction techniques under the guidance of experienced professionals.
• Support site supervisors in maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
• Observe and document field activities to understand scheduling, quality control, and workflow.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

• Interest in a career in construction management or related field.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift 50 lbs.
