Project OverviewBechtel Parsons Blue Grass is the systems contractor selected by the Department of Defense’s Assembled Chemical Weapons Alternatives program to design, build, systemize, test, operate, and close a facility to destroy the chemical weapons stockpile at the Blue Grass Army Depot in Richmond, Kentucky. The Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) will safely destroy 523 tons of mustard and nerve agent in projectiles and rockets.
Neutralization followed by supercritical water oxidation is the technology selected by the Department of Defense to destroy the nerve agent, while the Explosive Destruction Technology will be used to destroy the mustard in the Blue Grass chemical weapons stockpile.
Candidates for unescorted access to the Chemical Limited Area must successfully clear National Agency Check with Local Check (NACLC). All employees are subject to and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment. The ability to obtain/maintain access to the Blue Grass Army Depot is required. Must be physically fit and able to work safely at an operating plant.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of the Senior Planner Scheduler is to perform construction schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and analysis of activities. Supports project organizational and administrative activities when delegated. Supervises planning/scheduling activities when delegated. Ensures work is completed as scheduled and identifies construction schedule-associated cost trends for management attention.
- Obtains required schedule information from all disciplines and functions.
- Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of project schedule needs.
- Responsible for total integration of schedule activities.
- Identifies restraints and their effect on the schedule.
- Identifies schedule considerations and challenges resulting from inter‑discipline or functional restraints and interfaces.
- Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance.
- Conducts schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine the criticality of scheduled activities.
- Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to the project team for discussion and/or decision.
- Responsible for leading, when requested, the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including the evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with at least 10–13 years of professional experience or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 14–17 years of professional experience. This role requires a facility‑specific clearance that requires U.S. citizenship. Must be able to complete and pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check, which includes verification of employment and education.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing scheduling functions which include planning, critical path analysis, and schedule performance measurement.
- Must demonstrate good interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Advanced level of proficiency in using Project Controls software applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives.
- Construction experience on large, complex Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs.
- Previous Earned Value Management System experience on complex EPC jobs.
- Demonstrated skill in identifying and analyzing issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and changing priorities.
The salary range for this role is $126,000 – $176,000; however, Craig Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
This position is designated as a Chemical Duty Position and is subject to the requirements of the Chemical Personnel Reliability Program (CPRP). As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a series of screenings including a personnel security investigation, urinalysis testing, medical exam, respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by Army Regulations.
