Job Description & How to Apply Below

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified QA Test Lead to fill an open position with one of our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical leadership role at the intersection of business, IT, and security, driving quality, transparency, and delivery excellence across large-scale application initiatives. You will serve as the central point of accountability for defect governance, access management, and executive-ready reporting during high-impact test and release cycles.

This role offers strong visibility, cross-functional influence, and the ability to shape governance standards that directly impact delivery success. You’ll act as a bridge between business stakeholders, IT delivery teams, security, and vendors to ensure disciplined execution across testing and release phases. This role owns end-to-end defect lifecycle management, access governance, and centralized reporting, while driving alignment, accountability, and risk transparency across distributed teams.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident leading structured conversations during high-volume, fast-paced cycles such as SIT and UAT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end defect lifecycle governance, including triage, prioritization, aging management, and phase exit readiness.
  • Lead daily defect triage and status forums, ensuring data integrity, clear ownership, and timely follow-through across teams.
  • Coordinate and track user access, roles, and permissions across systems while partnering with security and identity teams to ensure compliance.
  • Develop executive-ready dashboards and reporting to analyze trends, elevate risks, and support go/no-go decisions.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience in defect management, test governance, or quality assurance leadership within complex application environments.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to translate technical details into clear business insights.
  • Hands‑on experience with defect tracking and service management tools such as JIRA and Service Now.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage access governance, provisioning, and audit readiness in partnership with security teams.
  • Expertise in metrics, reporting, and analytics including defect trends, severity distribution, leakage, and aging analysis.
  • Ability to drive prioritization and decision-making during high-volume test cycles (SIT, UAT, hypercare).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Reasons to Love It
  • High‑visibility role with direct impact on release quality and delivery confidence.
  • Opportunity to influence governance standards across enterprise‑scale applications.
  • Strong collaboration with business, IT, security, and vendor partners.
  • Dynamic work supporting critical test cycles and production readiness initiatives.
