Yard Truck Driver - Class A

Job Overview

Immediate opportunities for full‑time Class A Yard Drivers. Pay starts at $25.50 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours. The role is 75% yard driving and 25% warehouse work.

• Yard driving: moving trailers in and out of the dock, coupling and uncoupling trailers, chocking trailers for loading and unloading, pulling trailers from doors.
• Warehouse duties: utilizing a clamp truck to stage and sort products for loading, loading and unloading trailers, sorting and placing parts in racks or other designated areas, stacking cardboard boxes and pallets, packaging or kit finished products for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling), electronically scanning products using a warehouse management system.

• Sunday through Wednesday.
• Start time: 5:00 AM.

• Valid Class A CDL; applicant must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• Current non‑exceptional interstate DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• At least one year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last three years, or two years of documented experience in the past five years.
• Three‑year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• Compliance with all federal and state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance.
• English language proficiency (required by federal law).
• Work the required schedule and specific location, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening.
• Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner, accepting responsibility for own and others’ safety.

• Must be able to see and hear; required visual abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to move frequently, stand, walk and sit; use hands to touch, handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lb (23 kg) regularly, and up to 100 lb (45 kg) occasionally.
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.
