Assistant Professor of Practice in Sport Management - Esport

NHU-Riyadh is the Saudi branch campus of the University of New Haven, a private, nonprofit university founded in 1920 in Connecticut, USA. The College of Business and Digital Innovation at NHU-Riyadh invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice in Sport Management to teach in the Esport and Digital Game Management program beginning in Fall 2026. This is an opportunity to join a new academic venture and contribute to the development of business education in a dynamic, internationally connected setting. This position includes teaching, service, and research expectations along with the opportunity to develop innovative and relevant business curricula.

Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, a commitment to teaching excellence, and a student-centered approach. All faculty members are expected to contribute to student success through activities such as advising and career mentoring.

You will
  • Teach: Inspire and mentor undergraduate students in the Esport and Digital Game Management Program, incorporating the latest advancements and real-world applications. Courses to be taught may include one or more of the following:
    • Undergraduate: Introduction to Digital Game Management, Introduction to Esport Management, Global Esport & Digital Gaming Landscape, Governance and Regulatory Practice in Digital Gaming and Esport, Financial and Revenue Strategies in Digital Gaming and Esport, Esport Management Operations, and Digital Game and Esport Management Capstone.
  • Academic Assessment: Collect learning assessment data as needed.
  • Research: Conduct cutting-edge research that advances the field of Sport Management or Esport Management.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of innovative curricula.
  • Mentorship: Guide and advise students, fostering their professional development and preparing them for successful careers.
  • Service: Engage in service activities that contribute to the department, college, and university.
  • Student Engagement: Support and engage in student focused activities to enhance the vibrant student population at the UNH-Riyadh campus.

You Need
  • Ph.D. in Sport Management or Sport Administration
    • MBA or master’s degree in a business discipline with significant business experience will be considered.
