Reports to:  Head of IT.

1. To provide technical support services to installed systems in accordance with business requirements and system procedures including contingency/disaster recovery scenarios.
2. To assist in the management of supported systems, including installation and configuration, fault resolution, security management, performance and accounting management, maintaining configuration records.
3. To ensure that all activities are carried out to the agreed IT Standards and to ensure that the relevant procedures are maintained and followed to meet these standards
4. Actively contributes to the development of the team’s services, the planning, specification, development, installation, implementation and daily operation and management of supported server and desktop systems including first and second line support services
5. Work with other team members and/or 3rd Parties to establish a stable platform including the troubleshooting of any issues and providing temporary cover of system administration duties.

1.  Together with the other IT staff, assist in the development and monitoring of standards, policy and procedures for the supported systems.
2. To assist in the identification and recommendation of the appropriate environmental conditions for IT installations and operations and to help ensure those conditions are provided and maintained in areas under IT control.
3. Effectively communicate with 3rd Parties and/or IT Suppliers during implementation, production and operational phases.
4. Manage user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
5. To take part in projects as and when required, including the production of project plans.
6. To assist in the deployment of PC’s, Screens, Printers and other equipment to users based at various sites.
7. To assist in the preparation of an induction programme for new users.
8. To consider the wider context of the services provided in supporting the business needs, maintaining awareness of technological advances and market place developments in order to propose improved service, infrastructure or systems opportunities.
9. To assist in the provision of advice and guidance to all users on the technical standards for Hardware, Peripheral/PC equipment, systems and application software to support business needs.
10. To manage own support calls within agreed SLA’s and provide assistance as required to other team members
11. To work with other staff to establish and maintain inventories of all supported hardware and software, to include, location, configuration and quantities of each item.
12. To liaise as appropriate with Suppliers / Contractors to ensure appropriate maintenance support to systems, correct response to fault calls and to arrange receipt and implementation of software updates.
13. To work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.
Position Requirements
Bachelor,   5 to 6 Years work experience
Required Language Skills:
  • English - Very good

Duty Hours: 8 hours a day x 6 days a week
