Job Summary
The treasury specialist is responsible for day‑to‑day Treasury operations, managing debt, intercompany funding and bank guarantees. They monitor and report on covenants, ensure accuracy of Treasury transactions, and support external audits. The specialist also plays a key role in optimizing working capital, improving cash‑flow forecasting, and implementing Treasury Management Solutions. They manage cash positions, short‑term investments, FX deals, bank accounts and payment systems.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake daily Treasury operations, including bank account management, mandates, online banking, and annual KYC review.
- Participate in new debt issuance and manage existing debt.
- Track and manage intercompany funding and Middle East bank guarantees (retrieval & reporting).
- Monitor and report covenants and undertakings on a regular basis.
- Coordinate with accounting and internal audit to ensure accurate Treasury transaction history and audit trail.
- Support the Finance team with external audit requirements related to Treasury.
- Assist the Middle East Treasurer in special projects as needed.
- Review the Middle East financial position around near‑term debt maturities and recommend financing plans.
- Manage the cash position and suggest short‑term investment opportunities.
- Optimize working capital and improve cash‑flow forecasting with accurate and timely forecasts.
- Lead the development and implementation of the Treasury Management System (TMS) for the Middle East.
- Oversee bank guarantees in all countries excluding KSA (issuance & retrieval).
- Administer Middle East banking and payment system controls.
- Execute FX deals and manage daily cash flow, identifying regional funding requirements.
- Perform daily reconciliations in the TMS.
- Maintain new and existing bank accounts, update signatories per the Delegation Authority Matrix, and monitor bank costs.
- Support Treasury operations in KSA, including bank accounts, mandates, online banking, and annual KYC review.
- Execute any other duties assigned by the manager.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal stakeholders, banks, and external parties.
- Adaptability and proactivity, demonstrating innovative solutions in changing business and market conditions.
- High attention to detail ensuring accuracy in transactions, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Ethical integrity in handling confidential information and compliance matters.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in treasury management.
English is required;
Arabic is preferred. The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, and possess at least 2 years of relevant experience.
