This role is ideal for a highly skilled Mobile Core Network Performance Engineer specializing in CS/IMS/IN/PS domains within an advanced managed services environment. You will monitor, analyze, and optimize mobile core networks, ensuring SLA compliance, capacity readiness, and service stability for high‑traffic operator environments in Saudi Arabia.

As a Mobile Core Network Performance Engineer, you will manage end‑to‑end performance indicators across circuit‑switched, packet‑switched, IMS, and intelligent network platforms. You will analyze international KPIs, troubleshoot degradations, perform capacity audits, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance mobile core reliability and efficiency. This role requires deep expertise in Ericsson Core technologies, signaling protocols, business intelligence tools, and performance reporting. You will prepare governance, SLA, and executive‑level presentations, while supporting automation initiatives and seasonal high‑traffic plans (Ramadan, Hajj, Eid).
Key Responsibilities- âś“ Develop, maintain, and optimize KPIs for CS/IMS/IN/PS core networks.
- âś“ Perform capacity audits and analyze resource utilization trends.
- âś“ Conduct international KPI analysis (NER, ASR, ACT, MOS, Jitter, Delay, Packet Loss).
- âś“ Evaluate international routes for carrier selection and capacity dimensioning.
- âś“ Perform inbound/outbound roaming analysis using MAP & Diameter signaling.
- âś“ Analyze CS/PS Core performance across MSS, MGw, STP, CTC, GGSN/PGW.
- âś“ Manage and operate Anritsu Master Claw for KPI dashboards and reporting.
- âś“ Configure performance statistical alarms for CS/PS/IN nodes.
- âś“ Create and maintain Ericsson Business Objects SAP reports.
- âś“ Develop ENIQ/ENM reports and dashboards.
- âś“ Prepare seasonal capacity and contingency plans (Ramadan, Hajj, Eid).
- âś“ Deliver SLA, governance KPIs, and senior management performance reports.
- âś“ Detect early warning signs of network risks and recommend preventive actions.
- âś“ Drive automation initiatives and collaborate with Planning, OSS, Projects, and BO teams.
- âś“ 5+ years in Ericsson Mobile Core Network Performance.
- ✓ Deep knowledge of Ericsson CS Core: MSC‑S, STP, MGW, IMS, CTC.
- ✓ Strong experience with Ericsson PS Core: SGSN‑MME, GGSN‑PGW, PCRF.
- âś“ Expertise in Ericsson IN: CCN, SDP, VS, AIR, IVR.
- âś“ Strong signaling expertise: SS7, BSSMAP, CAP, INAP, DTAP, Sigtran, ISUP, BICC, MAP, SIP, H.248, Diameter.
- âś“ Understanding of core network interfaces:
Iu, A, Gx, Gy, S1, S5, S6a, SGS, Gi, Cx, Dx. - âś“ Experience with BI & performance tools: ENIQ BO, Anritsu Master Claw/eoLive, Power BI.
- âś“ Proficiency in UNIX shell scripting, SQL stored procedures, Oracle & MS SQL.
- âś“ Strong MS Office skills (Excel formulas, basic macros).
- âś“ Multi-vendor environment experience (Huawei, Nokia advantageous).
- ✓ Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering preferred.
- ✓ Experience supporting Tier‑1 operators with high‑volume traffic.
- âś“ Knowledge of SLA frameworks and governance reporting structures.
- âś“ Exposure to automation for performance reporting and analysis.
- âś“ Familiarity with VoLTE/VoNR KPIs and IMS performance monitoring.
- âś“ Experience working in Managed Services delivery environments.
