Mechanical Technician

Carries out routine and breakdown maintenance of all mechanical equipment's and auxiliaries associated with chilled water production excluding chillers i.e., pumps, cooling towers, Heat Exchanger, Gearbox, valves, pipe work, air compressors, as tasked by superiors in compliance with the Work Order system, in order to ensure minimal downtime. Carry out preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance for all rotating and static equipment’s such as Centrifugal Chillers, Pumps, and Cooling Towers, etc.

In District Cooling Plant, Chilled Water Network, and Energy Transfer station.

• Respond to faults and failures reported in plants(Mechanical) through the work order system;
  Visit sites to inspect, trouble shoot and correct the fault.
• Technically sound alongside hands on experience with various rotating equipment and heat exchangers.
• Perform prescribed standard tests to ensure that the equipment (Mechanical) in the plant is operating properly according to established specifications in coordination with Operations.
• Utilize proper spare parts to ensure return of chilled water supply in short period of time especially during emergencies.

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment (Mechanical) in plants according to established schedule and maintenance cycle. Conduct maintenance on all mechanical equipment's and auxiliaries associated with chilled water production excluding chillers i.e., pumps, cooling towers, gearbox, Heat Exchanger, valves, pipe work, air compressors, and take appropriate action to repair or replace parts as needed.
• Refer major maintenance requirements to the supervisor in order to schedule corrective maintenance within the suggested / accepted timeframe.

• Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Expertise in Mechanical system and Rotating parts.
• Safety Concerns particularly tag out systems.
• Basic Knowledge on District cooling plant operational activities.

• A Diploma in Mechanical Technology /Maintenance.
