General Laborer

We are seeking a General Laborer – Railroad that is responsible for performing physical labor and maintenance work on railroad tracks, equipment, and facilities. This position supports the safe and efficient operation of rail systems through tasks such as inspecting tracks, replacing ties and rails, clearing brush, and operating various tools and machinery. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and may require travel, overtime, and irregular hours.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Entry-level experience or willingness to learn mechanical and load adjustment support tasks
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and safety procedures
• Comfortable working in physically active roles, including lifting and moving materials
• Basic understanding of tools, equipment handling, and safe work practices
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate simple records
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors

• Assist the Mechanical-Load Adjust team with preparation, setup, and support tasks for mechanical load adjustments
• Move, stage, and organize materials, tools, and equipment as directed
• Perform basic inspections and report issues or safety concerns to the supervisor
• Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and site procedures
• Support documentation by recording task completion, material usage, and any relevant notes
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient operations
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
• Participate in training and follow-up coaching to improve job performance
