Software Developer; R&D

Sciemetric is looking for an entry-level Software Developer to join our R&D team to design, develop, and maintain .NET/WPF software products. You’ll contribute to a friendly and collaborative engineering culture through code reviews and by promoting consistent, high-quality code that balances performance, maintainability, and developer expression. We track work in Jira and check in four mornings a week for quick, focused scrums.

• Work independently to turn direction into action: moving projects forward, identifying obstacles, and reaching out to teammates when deeper insight is needed.
• Interact and coordinate with other development teams working on related products.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Expertise with:

• Window Presentation Framework (WPF)
• Windows services

The following skills are highly desirable for this position:

• WPF Toolkits, specifically Sci Chart + Dev Express
• A background in mathematics, SPC, or data analytics.
• Prism Framework
• Docker
• Unit testing practices
• Able to commute to office as needed which is located in Rochester Hill, Michigan
