Electrical Engineer
Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in debugging, testing assemblies, and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. You will support the team by troubleshooting, performing maintenance, and participating in continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities
+ Perform debug and test assemblies to component level, utilizing block diagrams and schematics.
+ Conduct tester maintenance and upkeep.
+ Troubleshoot operator problems successfully and collaborate with leadership on training and process improvements.
+ Provide training and ongoing support to Test operators.
+ Communicate problems to Test Engineer and/or leader.
+ Assist in performing experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis.
+ Recommend additional equipment needs to leadership and/or Test Engineers for the product debug areas.
+ Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities.
+ Comply with and follow all company security policies and procedures.
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
+ Work on problems of limited scope following standard practices and procedures.
+ Build stable working relationships internally.
+ Learn to use professional concepts and apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
+ Receive detailed instructions on all work.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in soldering and testing electronics, including PCB's.
+ Proficiency in electrical engineering, schematic reading, and debugging.
+ Ability to use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment.
+ Familiarity with PCB design and blueprint reading.
+ Utilization of basic hand and power tools.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Must have a minimum of 1 year experience soldering on PCBs.
+ Must have a minimum of 1 year experience testing PCB's.
+ Must possess an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and be eager to perform technical work.
Work Environment
This position is based on-site within a manufacturing setting located in Rochester. The role requires hands-on work with electronic components and collaboration with internal teams.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
