Location: Rockwall County Detention Center - Rockwall, TX
Schedule: Part-Time On-Site
Hours: 8 hours per month
Compensation: $225 per hour

Position Overview

TK Health is seeking a Part-Time, On-Site Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services at the Rockwall County Detention Center.

This role offers a highly flexible schedule with limited monthly hours while allowing providers to make a meaningful impact in a structured, secure correctional healthcare environment.

The Psychiatrist will collaborate with medical, nursing, and behavioral health staff to provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing clinical management for an adult incarcerated population.
Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Provide ongoing psychiatric care and clinical management
• Collaborate with medical, nursing, and behavioral health staff regarding patient treatment plans
• Document clinical encounters in the electronic medical record
• Practice in accordance with established policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory and professional standards

Schedule & Compensation

• 8 hours per month
• On-site services required
• Hourly rate: $225/hour

Qualifications (Texas Requirements)

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency program
• Active, unrestricted Texas medical license (required to practice psychiatry in Texas)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Ability to pass a thorough background check
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred, but not required
