Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships - Expression of Interest

The Astroparticle Physics Area of the Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI) invites expressions of interest from outstanding postdoctoral researchers interested in applying for a Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship with GSSI as host institution.

Successful candidates will receive support in the preparation of their MSCA proposal and, if awarded the fellowship, will benefit from an additional third year of postdoctoral funding provided by GSSI, extending the scientific continuity and impact of the project beyond the standard MSCA fellowship duration.

GSSI is an international school for advanced studies and a research centre located in L’Aquila, Italy. Its Astroparticle Physics programme offers a lively and highly international research environment, with theoretical and experimental activities spanning cosmic rays, high‑energy astrophysics, multimessenger astrophysics, neutrinos, dark matter, gravitational waves, stellar evolution and dynamics, and underground rare‑event searches.

The research project will be developed jointly by the candidate and the prospective supervisor, with the goal of preparing a competitive proposal for the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026 call. Interested candidates should contact potential supervisors as early as possible, ideally before June 15.

The deadline for the MSCA-PF 2026 call is 9 September 2026.

Expressions of interest will be evaluated on the basis of the candidate’s scientific track record, the originality and feasibility of the proposed project, its fit with the GSSI research environment, and the expected competitiveness of the proposal.
