Position: Truss Assemblers 1st and 2nd shift Romulus Immediate Needs

Position

Truss/Wall Panel Builder/Assembler

Overview

Our company designs, builds, and delivers commercial, residential, and multi‑family engineered structural building components throughout Michigan. We manufacture roof and floor trusses, wall panels, and stairs, and we perform the field installation of these products.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble interior and exterior wall components, including nailing together panels and securing metal reinforcement plates.
  • Lay out component materials or supplies on carts or the floor according to schematics.
  • Stock supplies and materials to set up the assembly process.
  • Assist in the set‑up of component assembly equipment and processes.
  • Monitor production workflow and assist other areas as needed.
  • Load and band finished components on carts inside and/or outside.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Operate equipment necessary to the assembly process, and use tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, pneumatic staple guns, and gauges to verify dimensions and accuracy.
  • Follow all safety rules, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties and projects assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Must be able to read schematics and place materials properly.
  • Maintain station cleanup procedures and comply with all company policies.
  • Follow all safety rules within the shop area and yard, including wearing proper PPE.
  • Dependable with reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
  • strong organizational skills and the ability to work while standing for extended periods.
  • Experience in the building trades preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to be trained; motivated candidates encouraged.

Working Conditions

Full‑time, 40‑hour work week with potential overtime based on seasonal business needs. The position is in‑person at our plant, which is heated in winter and air‑conditioned in summer. Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, balance, stooping, kneeling, and reaching both above shoulder height and below waist to move, stock, retrieve, or store items.
