Schedule
Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend required.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in an Eastern NM facility. This role involves working in a General Med Surg Unit, with occasional floating to ICU to manage Medical-Surgical overflow or Step Down patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Med Surg setting.
- Manage post-operative orthopedic and general surgery patients.
- Occasionally float to ICU to take on Step Down assignments as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems including Cerner and Mindray Telemetry.
- Adhere to patient care protocols and safety standards.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Med Surg RN.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- ACLS certification is preferred.
- Must have a valid RN license for the state of New Mexico; fingerprinting is required for all NM travelers.
