Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week)
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner by agreement)
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary school in Rotherham. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside talented staff and make a positive difference to the lives of our pupils.
The successful candidate will support teaching and learning across the school, helping children to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities- Support pupils’ learning in the classroom, individually and in small groups.
- Deliver targeted intervention programmes under the guidance of teachers.
- Assist with planning, preparing and adapting learning activities.
- Support pupils with additional needs, including those with SEND.
- Promote positive behaviour and help create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support school events and activities.
- A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience of working with primary-aged children.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive, flexible and proactive approach.
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEND.
- Knowledge of intervention programmes and strategies.
- Experience of working in a primary school setting.
