Senior Tax Advisor – 3-Month Contract Engagement

Wealth X Taxes is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Advisor for a 3‑month contract engagement to support our tax advisory and compliance team during a major growth phase. This role is ideal for a CPA or EA who is highly skilled in complex tax preparation, review, IRS notice resolution, and client‑facing tax advisory work — without the expectation of a full‑time ongoing role.

We are scaling quickly and need a sharp, experienced tax professional who can step in, own high‑level tax work, and help maintain premium client outcomes.
The RoleAs a Senior Tax Advisor, you will help manage client tax engagements, prepare and review complex returns, assist with IRS and state notice resolution, and support tax planning implementation for premium clients. This is not a basic back‑office compliance role. We need someone who can operate at a high level, communicate professionally, and help improve our tax systems during a focused 3‑month engagement.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns, including 1040, 1120, 1120‑S, and 1065.
- Support high‑income entrepreneurs and real estate investors.
- Assist with IRS and state notice resolution.
- Communicate professionally with clients and agencies.
- Support tax planning implementation and advisory follow‑through.
- Help improve workflows, checklists, and internal tax processes.
- Work directly with the CEO and leadership team on high‑level cases.
- Utilize modern tools, including AI‑assisted workflows, to improve speed and accuracy.
- CPA or EA required.
- Strong experience with complex 1040 preparation and review.
- Experience with business returns preferred.
- Confident handling IRS notices and client representation.
- Organized, proactive, and highly accountable.
- Comfortable working in person in Round Rock, TX.
- Able to step into a fast‑moving environment and produce quality work quickly.
