Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in the Operating Room. The role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing services across various surgical specialties in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare and monitor patients throughout operative procedures.
• Administer medications, anesthesia, and other treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Maintain sterile environments and assist in equipment setup and troubleshooting.
• Monitor patient vital signs, respond to unexpected events, and ensure patient safety.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately in the EMR system.
• Support and mentor new or less experienced staff when needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year of OR experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in general surgery, orthopedic, neuro, and vascular procedures.
• CVOR experience with at least two years in adult open heart, endovascular, and TAVR cases.
• Knowledge of advanced surgical equipment including robotic systems and hybrid room technology.
• Ability to adapt to different rooms and case types, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
